Lower-back pain + migraine
Care for recurring pain starts with understanding the pattern, not simply the location. We discuss how symptoms affect movement, sleep, work, and daily life.
Reasons to visit
Recurring lower-back discomfort or stiffness
Headache or migraine patterns already medically evaluated
Muscle tension and difficulty returning to everyday activity
Our approach
Depending on your evaluation, care may include acupuncture, massage, or cupping alongside appropriate medical treatment and movement guidance. We review your diagnosis, medications, previous injuries, and response to earlier care before recommending an approach.
Evidence and expectations
Acupuncture may help some people with chronic low-back pain and migraine. Benefit varies, and it does not replace evaluation of a new or changing headache or unexplained back pain.
NCCIH: Acupuncture effectiveness and safety
Your first visit
Bring your medication and supplement list, relevant reports, and the questions you want to discuss. We review your priorities and explain suitable options, possible risks, and alternatives before you decide on treatment.
Follow-up is based on your response and goals. There is no fixed number of visits or guaranteed result for everyone.
When medical assessment comes first
Sudden severe pain, new weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a sudden unusually severe headache needs urgent medical assessment, not a routine acupuncture appointment.
Common questions
Do I need a diagnosis first?
Bring any diagnosis, relevant reports, and medication list you already have. New, unexplained, or worsening symptoms may require medical evaluation before complementary treatment.
Will I need herbs or supplements?
Not automatically. Any recommendation should account for your medicines, health conditions, pregnancy status where relevant, and preferences. Do not replace prescribed care with a product without discussing it with your clinician.
